Printing

Our prints are locally printed in London to a fine art gallery standard on beautifully textured archival paper using the latest Epson professional Ultrachrome inks.

Why is this important? Well, because it means that the colours are vibrant and true and will stay that way for decades.

Giclee Printing

Printing is on advanced large-format Giclee printers at up to 2400 dpi using a 12-colour pigment ink system, for smooth graduations, deep blacks, and an impressive colour range - with up to 99% Pantone coverage.

Giclee Prints have several advantages over other print methods, new research from the Willhelm Institute suggests prints from Ultrachrome Pro 12 inks can have a lifespan of up to 400 years +, depending on storage conditions. Pigment-based inks also ensure that prints are less susceptible to water damage because the tiny ink particles are water-resistant.

Hahnemuhle Photo Rag Paper

Our paper of choice is the German-made Hahnemuhle Photo Rag, a heavy-duty 308gsm matt paper made of 100% cotton rag with a natural white tone and superb black saturation. The subtle fibrous finish and understated colours give art prints an organic look and feel.

Hahnemühle’s was founded back in 1584 as a paper mill in Saxony’s Solling uplands in southern Germany and is renowned for its quality and dedication to producing papers that support and enhance the creative process.
